The Sockmatician Edition yarn range has grown!

Whereas before there were only eight colours, we’ve expanded the range to include new brand new family members. Based on the colours of the LGBT Pride rainbow flag, designed by Gilbert Baker, the two new kids on the block, pink and turquoise, originally featured on early versions of the flag, later being removed for technical and practical reasons, and to simplify the flag we know and love today, but I thought how nice it would be to be able to bring them back to today’s audiences, and add them to my brooding rainbow.

I call it that, because my version of the Pride rainbow is much darker, and more muted. This is deliberate. It is to remind us that the path to equality has not been a smooth one, and the fight is far from over. People have fought and died under this flag, and it’s vital that we don’t forget that.
